In a meeting with employees at the Hacker Square pavilion at Meta’s Menlo Park headquarters, Mark Zuckergerg touted incredible breakthroughs the company has seen in AI. “In the last year, we’ve seen some really incredible breakthroughs — qualitative breakthroughs — on generative AI and that gives us the opportunity to now go take that technology, push it forward, and build it into every single one of our products,” Zuckerberg said.

During the meeting, Meta executives showcased how they are incorporating AI into Metaverse, specifically, they described how AI can help design 3D visuals for Metaverse. They also said that they plan to launch a service that will enable Instagram users to modify photos through text prompts and share them in Instagram's app stories. Meta also plans to enable WhatsApp and Instagram users to engage with AI Chatbots in future as a form of entertainment.

Regarding the launch of Twitter rival, Chief product officer Chris Cox confirmed it saying they plan to launch it "as soon as we can." "We've been hearing from creators and public figures who are interested in having a platform that is sanely run, that they believe they can trust and rely on for distribution," Cox said.

Zuckerberg is not worried about VR headset competition from Apple. “I was really curious to see what they’d ship, and it’s a good sign for our own development that they [Apple engineers] don’t have any magical solutions to the laws of physics that we haven’t already explored," Zuckerberg said. “By contrast, every demo Apple showed was someone sitting on a couch by themselves," he noted.
