November 28, 2023: Tobias Seitz, Chief Marketing Officer of SIXT said before they entered into a partnership with Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls, they carried out a study into which “trust symbols” would work for Sixt in USA. “We commissioned a study into which “trust symbols” would be suitable for SIXT in the USA. The data made it clear that NBA fans are the best fit for SIXT’s target group. The study also showed that the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls are the most popular sports teams in the USA,” he said. He said that its partnership with Los Angeles Lakers includes picking up customers at the airport using a bus that has a large Lakers logo and driving them to waiting Sixt’s fleets. “In Los Angeles, we pick up our customers at the airport with a bus that has a large Lakers logo and is reminiscent of a classic team bus. Our customers are then driven directly to the area where they pick up their rental car. We are currently remodeling this station so that it looks like the Lakers’ locker room. October 5, 2023: Sixt also entered into a three-year partnership deal with Chicago Bulls, one of NBA teams. The company will have access to branded spaces that are visible to the arena and television audience during Chicago Bulls home games. Additionally, Sixt will Chicago bulls logo for promotion activities in the Chicago area. Sixt will also be able to offer Chicago Bulls jerseys to select fans during the team's game on March 1. Sixt did not disclose the amount of money put into the partnership[2].

October 5, 2023: Sixt partners with the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the NBA teams, in an effort to boost its brand awareness in Los Angeles and the United States. During the team's basketball events, Sixt will have branded spaces that are visible within the arena, on court and on television broadcasts. For instance, Sixt will feature in prime areas such as the Lakers Player Tunnel. Sixt will also feature on Los Angeles Lakers social media posts. Los Angeles Lakers has over 70 million global followers in its channels. The partnership will last for three years. Sixt did not disclose the amount of money paid for the partnership[3].

September 27, 2023: Sixt acquires a single-digit stake in Blackbane, a chauffeur service provider headquartered in Berlin. The stake was part of Blackpane's financing round valued at less than 34 million euros. Blackbane's rates are 20 to 30% higher than those charged by taxi service providers. Founded in 2011, Blackpane is present in 50 countries, has 20,000 drivers in its payroll and generated 200 million euros in 2022. With the partnership, Sixt wants to expand more into the U.S. market where Blackpane wants to grow by around 50% next year[4].
