ChatGPT for tool finding
Uses
- It's been very useful in the process of tool finding as I was able to give it the type of app I would need and give it some criteria to follow. It's not always accurate, but helps with shortening the time it would take to search for all possible apps that may meet our criteria.
ChatGPT for Research
Uses
- Gathering financial data or information that would otherwise need to be extracted from Earnings Reports. Example : "VW Revenue Q2 2021", and the bot will provide lots of useful information about their revenue.
- Searching for consumer sentiment using ChatGPT. Can be useful when analysing past events or news, as the data available is as new as September 2021.
Pros
* reduces the time it takes for the researcher to find certain information, data, numbers.
ChatGPT for SEO
It is important to know that Chat GPT can only deal with content side of search engine optimisation. [1]
Whilst it is very effective for content creation and topic research, it does not account for a number of other elements of SEO. These include technical aspects such as on-page optimisation and off-page activities such as link building and domain credibility.
Some of the ways that SEO experts are using it: [2]
1. Creating content - avoid using it to write webpages and blog posts. Google algorithms can identify and penalise AI-generated content, even if it uses anti-detection algorithms.
2. Keyword Research and analysis
"All you need to do is open the chatbot and type in a few of your target keywords, and ask for related ones. ChatGPT will crank out a list of related keywords based on its understanding of search results."
You can also ask it to compare two keywords to see which would be the best one in terms of SEO.
3. Use it to generate titles
Ask " generate titles for x ( example - an investment article on Meta) and it will generate titles from which you can choose.
Possible Cons : [2] states ( as of Jan 2023 ) that ChatGPT draws on data from no later than 2021, which means it’s unable to provide any information on current events.
