User:AnjaUser:AronUser:MagaNH6 I'd like to progress slowly but surely on Name and Slogan. Do you have any thoughts, questions or suggestions about it? From your perspective would be the ideal name of an (sophisticated) investment community, what it's slogan, how should it present itself? Are there things in our appearance that we urgently need to change? (Apart from finalizing, proof reading, clear/better formulation etc.) --PirateCaptain (talk) 20:56, 2 March 2023 (UTC)

I think the first step is to find a name and then to create a logo which fits to the name. Maybe a brainstorming would be nice and helpful? Let us gather ideas, which come up in our mind (without critical thinking at the beginning wether the ideas are good or bad). What do you think?

Here is what came up into my mind:

- CleverInvest - SmartInvest - CleverInvestCom - SmartInvestCom - Clever Invest Strategies - Learn to Invest - Learn to Invest Clever - How to Invest - How to Invest Clever - Invest Know-How for You - Investment Best Practices - Investment Best Practices for You - Investment Best Practices for All

User:Anja I have been pretty tired yesterday when I wrote the msg, so I did not formulate it well. This discussion is referring to the adjacent branding article, in which there are some concepts for Name, Slogan, Logos etc as well as more open questions. I agree that starting with a Name is the most important part followed by the Slogan. (I accidentally wrote Logo in the first instance above) The name which is almost set is "InvestmentWiki" but I am open to critique, more thoughts, questions or other suggestions, so I agree that an open collection of ideas is never bad and I am interested in Feedback which components make an investment community interesting. For you it would be primarily the learning part Anja? --PirateCaptain (talk) 12:44, 3 March 2023 (UTC)

User:PirateCaptain Yes, for me it would definitely be the learning (how to) part. So maybe my suggestions are at least helpful (or an inspiration) for the slogan.

User:Anja The suggestions are helpful for sure esp. since I did not consider investment beginners as a usergroup before too much and did not think about the slogan from their perspective. Slogans that I am currently favoring like "open source investment models" might declude them too much. From the way we are progressing our first target group are certainly more experienced users which could help us spotting great investment opportunities but eventually i'd like to create enough supporting and learning materials that it will be easy for a newcomer to seamlessly learn and develop into a good investor. (If they choose so and are not simply following our strategies)

What do you think about the Name itself? Any thoughts, good or bad associations? --PirateCaptain (talk) 14:39, 3 March 2023 (UTC)

User:PirateCaptain For some reason, I like "wikinvest.org" as a name, probably because sounds more fun. But InvestmentWiki is probably more straight forward too. As for the slogan I dont think I like any of the ones mentioned. Maybe this ones is the one that had more my attention "Find (investment) opportunities together", but this one sounds more serious "open source investment models"
